PSI LAMBDA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
The Psi Lambda Educational Foundation is a Tennessee Non-profit Corporation with 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. on whose efforts are to obtain funding for the support for the Foundation’s activities and programs. The mission of the Psi Lambda Educational Foundation is to support the local chapter to promote and uplift the education of youth and the advancement of community through various philanthropic interest and activities throughout the Chattanooga Metro Area.

Psi Lambda Educational Foundation was organized in April 2002 as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Charitable Organization. The Foundation is governed by a 7-member Board of Directors. The mission of the Psi Lambda Educational Foundation is to promote and uplift the education of youth and the advancement of community within the Chattanooga region.
Help us support the ongoing efforts of Psi Lambda Chapter and Alpha Phi Alpha to develop and implement educational programs and opportunities for local high school graduates of Chattanooga. Your gift can help to fund these programs for this year and beyond.
ONLINE GIVING
You can make a gift to ongoing operations or toward the endowment of the Foundation. Your gift can be directed to a specific program or added to the general fund, as you see fit using the Make a Gift form.
TYPES OF GIVING
We invite you to tailor your giving as you see fit by selecting one of several options.

Unrestricted gifts – allow the Foundation to allocate funds wherever the need is greatest, and to take advantage of unique opportunities as they arise. Your unrestricted gift will be used to support costs associated with the annual scholarship awards, YMOD (Young Men of Distinction) Project Alpha , and other board-approved local programs of 501C3 Organizations.
Restricted gifts – can be targeted to specific programs such as Scholarships, or the Alpha Achievers. When you make a restricted gift to the Foundation, you enjoy the satisfaction of knowing you are supporting a program that is personally meaningful to you.
Endowment gifts – You also have the option of designating your gift specifically for the Foundation endowment. Building the endowment is part of the Foundation’s long-term strategy to move towards complete self-sufficiency.
Mail – gifts can be mailed directly to the Foundation at PO Box 334 Chattanooga, TN 37401. Gifts can be of cash, or personal checks, company checks, cashier’s checks, or money orders made payable to Psi Lambda Educational Foundation, Inc. You can specify that your gift is restricted/unrestricted or for the general fund/endowment.
Paypal – Donations may be made virtually via Paypal. When making such a gift, indicate in the Comment space provided how you want the money applied.
Endowment – Gifts intended only for the endowment can also be made by check or money order payable to Psi Lambda Educational Foundation, Inc. In the Memo section of your check or money order, simply specify that the gift is for Psi Lambda Educational Foundation, Inc.
MATCHING GIFT PROGRAMS
An easy way to double or even triple your contribution to Psi Lambda Educational Foundation, Inc.(PLEF) is to use your company’s matching gift program. Such programs typically match all or a percentage of employee contributions to charitable organizations, making the employer a partner in employees’ personal philanthropy. Simply obtain a matching gift form from your employer’s personnel office, fill it out, and provide it to PLEF with your contribution.
